Sri Prasert Suspension Bridge

During the post Si Satchanalai era, significant changes in the community's transportation infrastructure were observed, marking a shift away from the reliance on Phra Ruang Road as the primary route. This transformation is evident in the construction of various types of bridges and roads, including wooden bridges, concrete bridges, gravel roads, and concrete roads, reflecting the evolving transportation needs of the era. Upon consulting the older members of the community, it was revealed that following the deterioration of the Nong Chang Bridge in Moo 3 Village, Si Satchanalai Subdistrict, a new wooden bridge was constructed to replace the original concrete bridge. This new bridge, named Sri Prasert Bridge, was completed in 1979, serving as a vital link between Moo 4 Village, Tha Chai Subdistrict, and Moo 3 Village, Si Satchanalai Subdistrict, facilitating travel and connectivity across the river. Notably, the construction of the Sri Prasert Bridge was made possible through the generous financial contribution of Mr. Chalerm Sri Prasert, after whom the bridge is named.

This bridge is behind the Tha Chai Market. Beyond its functional significance, Sri Prasert Bridge holds aesthetic appeal, particularly during the evening hours when the setting sun casts a warm glow and the gentle breeze creates an ideal setting for leisurely walks along the river. This communal space not only facilitates movement but also fosters an environment where local residents gather to appreciate the simple pleasures of life, creating a tranquil atmosphere as they await the captivating sunset.
