Phra Ruang's most favorite sport was "kite running"; therefore, we found many tales that tell the story of this sport. For example, one day Phra Ruang wanted to have a long road for running kite, then he used his feet to sweep the ground as a long road across from Kamphaengphet through Sukhothai to Si Satchanalai to run the kite. This road was called "Phra Ruang Road"

At Phan Katai District, Khampangphet, the stout was that once upon a time, Mrs.Thong, Phra Ruang's wife, was pregnant and wanted to eat Madan. Phra Ruang went out to find Madan. On the way, he wanted to play the kite and he soaked a rope into the water at Nong Kra Phlo or Nong Kra Pho. When it was done, he started to run the kite. On the way, he stumbled and his knee bent until now. The area where he fell was two swamps. When tired, he sat on the rock and there was his trail on the rock at "Hua Hin Kong". Finally, he ran the kite to a canal where there was a Madan tree, the canal was called "Madan canal".

In Ramkhamhaeng National Park, Khiri Mat District, Sukhothai Province, the place related to the story of Phra Ruang Running After the Kite was where Phra Ruang fell. The stone floor collapsed due to this forehead hitting it. There were also three holes called "Ka Pok Phra Ruang" because his penis hit there. It was believed that the water in these holes was holy water.

In Srisatchanalai, it was said that Phra Ruang ran the kit to Ban Sarn Jit and the string was done. Then he asked villagers for cotton to make a string but the villagers refused. Phra Ruang bewitched the house not to have cotton anymore. At night, Phra Ruang ran the kite to Ban Saen. He asked the villagers for staying overnight, the villagers refused, saying that the house was too small and there was no more room. Phra Ruang bewitched the villagers to be able to build only two rooms in a house.

The story of Phra Ruang in this period was used to try to describe the names of the house, the city, beliefs, and some certain phenomena as well.
