In the area of Phran Kratai, Khampangphet, there is a natural hot spring which the villagers cannot explain why the water is so hot and the smoke is rising. It was said that once upon a time, Para Ruang joined the forest hunting along with many hunters. He found wildfowl with a beautiful look. He desired that fowl and assuaged the hunters to catch that fowl. The hunters succeeded in hunting fowls but they could not catch any other kinds of wild animals. Phra Ruang ordered to cook those fowls. However, there was no fire as no residents in such area. Phra Ruang used magic to make a swamp hot for cooking. Then, it became "Phra Ruang Bewitched Swamp" or "Phra Ruang hot spring" which was developed to be a tourist attraction.
