Wat Chang Lom

Monastery of the Faithful Man Dedicated to ordained in the religion three times.

Most of the tourists know that Wat Chang Lom is the only one in Si Satchanalai Historical Park. Many pagodas appear as elephant sculptures around the base. And villagers in the area used to be the destination for the name. In the Sukhothai Historical Park, there are many temples like this, but where to find great and exquisite like 'Wat Chang Com" outside the ancient city walls in the east. This temple is located near the Mae Ramphan canal which is an important stream of the ancient city of Sukhothai. The stone inscription was discovered that tells the area of this temple building was originally the home of "Phanom Sai Dam Maenam Ted". Government officials loyal to Somdej Phra Maha Thamracha Lithai and very interested in Buddhism, he was ordained as a monk 3 times. Firstly, he ordained after His Majesty King Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. When Phraya Lithai passed away, he was ordained and offered as a royal charity once again. Later, when Ratchathewi Phraya Lithai's wife died and was ordained for the third time until Phraya Sri Tepahuraj had to leave the Buddhist monkhood to help the city government.


The inscription tells of the great charity of Phanom Sai Dam. The miracle of relics that appeared to him, and stated that the temple built on the land that used to be his home was completed in 1933 BE.
