Wat Phra Phai Lhuang is the largest site among all the temple outside the City Wall. The place is surrounded by a big moat. There is none of pagoda but three Prang (corn-cob stupas) standing on the one base. Plenty of stuccos remain, including statues of the Buddha, his disciples, devas, gold tracery and foliage motifs. Inside the Prang is a chamber with an empty altar of the ancient Khmer art. This temple’s structures include various kinds of architecture as they had been extended to the front. It is considered the earliest arts of Sukhothai period.
